Lifeguard Academy – Water Safety
On Friday 20th May, our Canterbury Kings Lifeguard Academy had a training session with an education officer from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
They discussed what the Fire Service do when it comes to water rescue and learnt the relevant information to stay safe around water.
They learnt that if you are going out on your own, let someone know where you are going and when you are coming back. Always take any warning or safety signs seriously and look out for trip or slip hazards around water.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) education team offers a programme of education visits, attending schools and Centre’s throughout the county.
