Members compete in Tai Chi Competition
Dutch Nationals Tai Chi Competition 2019
On Saturday 9th November three King’s School Recreation Centre members and Tai Chi Instructor Sue Meads took part in the annual ‘STN Dutch Nationals’ Tai Chi Competition held in Utrech, Netherlands as part of a combined Dutch/UK Team. Paula Hines and Sue Meads won silver in the hand form duo category, Hazel Basford was 4th place in the weapons category with a stick set, and in the sabre duo with Sue. Both David Hines and Hazel scored well in the fan category. All four performed a group fan set which scored 4th place. Instructor Sue Meads also won individual medals – gold for a sabre set and silver for straight sword. The Dutch/UK overall team score was 1 gold, 5 silver.
