AFL Gentle Circuits
These classes form phase 4 of the cardiac rehabilitation process and are physiologically sound in their conception. The classes are particularly suitable for those with cardiovascular disease, but have proven to be useful for clients with other conditions.
The aim of the class is to increase aerobic capacity, develop muscular endurance and promote increased functional capacity. The classes offer a variety of exercises around the room which can be adapted to allow for individual ability; this allows you to exercise at your own pace within a structured and supervised environment. The class has 3 self paced circuits of alternating between muscular endurance exercises and cardiovascular exercises, with table tennis also available. There is also a nice sociable element to this class making it not only effective but, also enjoyable.
