If you would like to play against different players, or if you want to find a partner of the same ability, why not join our squash leagues? Simply join at the bottom and work your way up or enter a league of your choice. Each league consists of four players and there are four weeks with which to play your games. Players will move up or down depending on the points they gain that month. For further details of the leagues please see Tom May or ask for him at Squash Teams: The King’s School Recreation Centre Men’s 1st Team is currently playing in the Kent South East League, Division 4 East. Squash Competitions: Ladies Squash: These squash sessions are for ladies only. Our resident coach, Tom, will be organising the session and providing tips on how to improve your game. Why not come along? Included in the price of this session is a cup of coffee. Enjoy this in the restaurant after playing. All abilities welcome.

Adult Beginner/Intermediate Squash Courses The 6 week beginner courses are designed for adults who are new to the game of Squash and the 6 week intermediate courses are designed for adults who are competent players looking to improve. Our qualified instructor, Tom, will be running the courses for anyone aged 18 and over. The courses have been designed to provide the opportunity for individuals to learn and improve skills, keep fit and have fun. Racketball Adult Tennis Coaching: Come and play Tennis on a social basis and improve your game. You will be able to play against people of different abilities and our resident coach Danny Wynne, will be available to give advice and coaching tips on your game.
Price per 1½ hour session:

The King’s School Recreation Centre has now entered teams into the East Kent Tennis League catering for all ages. So if anyone is interested in playing league tennis or would like to find out more information on the teams and standards we have entered the please contact Harriet Norford on 01227 595692 or email h.norford@kingsrecreation.co.uk Our Wednesday badminton club nights are organised by our badminton coach, Edward Strilesky, as social occasions. These provide players with the opportunity to play against people of different abilities. Edward will be available to give advice on how to improve your game. There is also league badminton available for the more competitive players, with King’s entering two men’s teams a composite team and a ladies team in the local North Forland Badminton League.

We have two table tennis tables available for hire at the Recreation Centre. We sell table tennis balls and hire out bats from Reception. Your table will be set up in either the sports hall or on a squash court. (depending on availability) Price per hour:
Many people enjoy the fun and thrill of our climbing wall and the sense of achievement of getting to the top and down again on their own. Users of the climbing wall must complete an “Outdoor Climbing Wall Registration Form” which includes a “Complete Check List”. These are available from reception. All climbers must supply their own equipment. Please see our courses section for any additional climbing course information. Price per person:
(Junior & Adult) We run courses on a termly basis for children and adults of all abilities. Ginette Ward, our resident coach, will give you the opportunity to aim for the British Amateur Gymnastics Association Awards. Participants for the junior course must be aged 4+ years.
